Fashion with Miguel Jacob

So this weekend I decided to take a workshop. A Fashion Photography workshop. This was mainly the reason why I started shooting in the first place and it was also what I was introduced to. If you want to see my portfolio (mind you, I haven’t updated it since last year – I’ve been so busy with other things): MAYREESE. So anyway, I took this workshop because I’ve never been to a workshop, I wanted to learn, Miguel Jacob is teaching it, and my Saturday was available. The workshop was held at the Pikto Studios in the Distillery District. The workshop was what I expected it to be and what the workshop had outlined on the Pikto website. So I went and I met new people, learned a few tricks, and gained an experience. I was there just being a sponge. Absorbing everything. I used to assist other Fashion Photographers before, but the workshop was where I could ask questions that I couldn’t have asked while on set assisting. I wouldn’t mind going to more workshops in the near future

Yesterday, I had a photo session with Christine. I took some portraits of her and some fashion portraits as well. It’s getting pretty chilly here in Toronto, hence the choice of clothing; long sleeves. Here are my faves from the set:

So I tried for the 50s vintage grainy camera effect for this one, I thought it would match perfectly with the pearls!
