Lina Tran | Portraits

Lina is very lovely in person! If you meet her, she’s really friendly! I intended to do her portraits as soon as I can but our schedules did not match and then she had to go to Dominican Republic for vacation. She got back from Dominican Republic and got tanned! It was nice, but she didn’t want to take portraits when she was tanned because she’s normally light skinned. Lina wanted her light skin for her portraits because that’s her, naturally. I agreed that portraits should show the person in their natural way and their personality. And here are my favourites and also hers! She helped me select her photos :).

Look its a painting of me and Lina! Well, not really, but just pretend ;).

Happy Monday!

&

I’m off to more editing!

(I should really go for a jog since it’s a nice weather and the light is golden outside…)

Noah & Sophia | Children’s Portraits

I know my last post said I would get some rest, but guess what? I couldn’t sleep! The past weekend was a little hectic for me. In a good way. But you know what I forgot about it already, because I just finished editing these adorable kids! Noah and Sophia are siblings. The morning we got to the location of our shoot they were already cooperating! The session went smoothly, I even got a big hug from these cuties! This was no ordinary portrait photography for children. We got STACKED! Aaron and Jenny from Stacked Rentals were also there with us to provide props for the vintage theme we were going for. Enjoy!

Stephanie Ly | Portraits

Here are the rest from Stephanie’s portrait session. I’m gonna tell you it is worth the wait! She’s such a sweetheart! After her photoshoot session, we went to Pacific Mall (Asian mall here in Toronto) and got bubble tea and those pancake waffles! But anyway she’s super nice! But I’ll let the photos do the talking. :)

Today I was productive! Time to get some rest :).

Goodnight!

Fin Izakaya

Izakaya: a Japanese bar offering alcoholic beverages and snacks (Dictionary.com)

So, I love food. I like trying out new places and dishes. I am not a food or restaurant critic so please don’t take my opinion as a general review, this is just my opinion, and I want to share it with everyone :). I’m no expert at this. This place was mentioned to me a while ago by a friend. He had his birthday dinner there, but I wasn’t able to go. A couple of weeks passed by and I was craving Japanese food, and I didn’t feel like going to the ones I’ve been to already. So I asked him how that place was. He said he really liked it. I got curious. My friend is Japanese, to me when a friend says they really like it and it’s their cuisine, I would jump on it. I went to Fin Izakaya on Yonge & Eglinton, twice. This Japanese Izakaya Restaurant is owned by Japanese and I was greeted with smiles and “IRASHAIMASE” (translates “welcome” in Japanese). It was lunch time and Lucas, his mom, and I sat beside the window. This was my second time going there. The food was good! I love Japanese cuisine! We ordered a bunch of stuff, haha sorry to say but I forgot what they’re called or what it was on their menu but I have photos! :) The photos I’ve taken, you might have seen these regular Japanese food somewhere else too, but I really like their lunch bowls. I’ve tried the “Dynamite bowl” or something like that, again I’m sorry but I didn’t take photos the first time I went there. Haha I made it seem like I was about to tell a long story, womp womp. Enjoy!

Japanese sake. I didn’t have some! It was just on display, I swear.

Salmon sashimi.

I think this was fish salad, I forgot. Lucas makes me try different types of food and this was another one of them.

Takoyaki! mmmmm…

Uni. Lucas made me try uni by itself a while back. I was hesitant at first. But I tried it. In my opinion, the after taste is a little bitter and the texture is too soft and fragile.

This was Beef something. =/ It was on a sizzling platter.

Frozen grapes at the end of the meal. So cute.

They don’t have a website yet. I know, I like looking at websites too. But they said they’re working on it because they just recently opened up their restaurant.
